As part of a major upgrade to its communications infrastructure including a significant amount of satellite equipment from sister company GigaSat, Bahrain’s national state television channel awarded a large digital fixed microwave link to Giga-Com.

The 10GHz FLV-100 microwave link between the Bahrain TV studios and King Khalifa’s Palace has a capacity to transmit 4 digital MPEG-2, video channels, 16 audio channels and 4 telephone, channels bi-directionally with automatic 4+1 redundancy protection in both directions.
